Nazzareno, also known as Rennie, Borg was charged with breaking the windscreen of a Where’s Everybody van last Sunday while celebrating the European Parliament election result.
Borg, 25, from Siggiewi denied breaking the windscreen with a baton and threatening Where’s Everybody cameraman Andrew Sultana and director Paul Josef Vassallo.
The man was charged with causing more than Lm50 worth of damage to the van, using obscene language and blaspheming in public and inciting a crowd of more than 10 people to commit a crime.
Defence attorneys Dr Joseph Giglio and Dr Jose’ Herrera told the court their client is willing to pay for the broken windscreen. At their request, Mr Borg was granted bail against a Lm200 personal guarantee.
The court was presided over by magistrate Joe Cassar while inspectors Mario Bonello and Carlo Ellul prosecuted.
