Dr Gatt said that since the new collective agreement had come into force, the General Workers’ Union had withdrawn the industrial action that had been underway at the drydocks. This decision had helped in no small way for the drydocks to be awarded the cruiseliner contract, work on which is expected to start towards the end of the year.-
