A 36-year-old Libyan man was searched at the MIA on his arrival from Tripoli by Air Malta flight KM697 at about 8.15pm. The drugs were found on his person after a body search, and another Libyan, aged 35, who was a passenger on the same flight was also arrested. Duty Magistrate Joe Cassar appointed a number of forensic experts to assist in an on-site inquiry. Investigations are continuing and the men are expected to be charged in court in the next few days. The police drug squad are investigating.
