Masoud Albuiweiser, 35, and Saad Eabaied, 36, were charged in separate cases accused of conspiring to traffic drugs and importing about 350 grammes cannabis on an Air Malta flight from Libya. Eabaied was also charged with cannabis possession.

The accused’s request for bail was denied and they were both remanded in custody.

Dr Frank Cassar and Dr Beppe Fenech Adami appeared for the accused while inspector Nezren Grixti prosecuted. The court was presided over by magistrate Anthony Vella.
