The delegation, led by Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando, includes Robert Arrigo, Joe Debono Grech and Joseph Falzon.

Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik, and Armenian President Robert Kochari will be addressing the assembly.

Norwegian Foreign Affairs Minister and Committee of Ministers chairman Jan Petersen will be presenting a Communication from the Committee of Ministers to the Parliamentary Assembly.

Among the subjects to be debated during this part session are:

• the euro and the Greater Europe, followed by a statement by European Central Bank president Jean-Claude Trichet;

• honouring of obligations and commitments by Bosnia and Herzegovina;

• honouring of obligations and commitments by Turkey;

• implementation of decisions of the European Court of Human Rights by Turkey;

• contribution of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to economic development in central and eastern Europe followed by a statement by EBRD president Jean Lemierre;

• domestic slavery: servitude, au pairs and mail-order brides;

• evolution and future development of democratic institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina;

• conflict prevention and resolution: the role of women;

• the possible monopolisation of the electronic media and abuse of power in Italy;

• Italian law on legitimate suspicion;

• Europe-wide ban on corporal punishment of children;

• the situation of refugees and displaced people in the Russian Federation and some other CIS countries;

• management of water resources in Europe; and

• transboundary water basins in Europe.

During this part-session, the secretary general of the Council of Europe will also be elected.
