The GRTU referred to several meetings they had with Dr Deguara and specifically to an agreement to have specialised regulations for different sized establishments.

The GRTU said the agreement was that establishments with an area of more than 60 square metres would have separate smoking and non-smoking zones and not rooms. Smaller ones would not need separate zones but would need air-purifying equipment.

The GRTU appealed for Dr Deguara to stick to the agreement and reserved the right to take further legal action, even for commercial and financial damages. Dr Andrew Borg Cardona signed the letter.
