Tourism: Ensuring a sound working relationship with the industry

Malta Independent Thursday, 1 July 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 15 years ago

A copy of the magazine, aimed at the international tourist trade, was presented to Malta Tourism Authority chairman Chris Grech by Impact Public Relations managing director and the magazine’s editor Joe A. Grima.

Mr Grech emphasised the fact that the MTA works closely with the local and overseas trade and listens to what they have to say with a view to ensuring that a sound working relationship is maintained for the benefit of our tourism industry.

Malta & Gozo Quarterly reaches the international tourist trade through MTA and Air Malta communications channels.

As from this issue, a special, user-friendly middle-page spread Malta Calendar of Events 2004/5 has been produced in collaboration with the MTA’s Corporate Communications & Business Development Division. This is aimed at promoting cultural and other events, festivities and traditional celebrations to the international industry, which will thus be in a better position to promote tourism related to particular events and add value to Malta’s offer.

This issue of Malta & Gozo Quarterly outlines the topics discussed at the Medworld Conference, carries an in-depth review of the German market and highlights the facilities for conference organisers, among other highly relevant topics.
