Vincent Fean, British High Commissioner, said: “East Sussex is comparable in population with Malta, and the County Council are taking steps to introduce local Sussex companies to potential Maltese partners. This cooperation is very much a two-way street: I hope that Maltese companies will take a close look at what East Sussex
business has to offer.”
East Sussex County Council has sponsored the British Pavilion this year to support its companies exhibiting there and the recent twinning agreement between the towns of Naxxar and Hailsham in East Sussex. The Council leader, Peter Jones said, “We are committed to developing a long term relationship with Malta, so that we can both access EU funding for complementary projects, which will benefit our economies and our communities”.
Four East Sussex based manufacturing companies are exhibiting a sample range of their products at the United Kingdom Pavilion, International Fair of Malta, Naxxar. Their products include ropes and cordage, cash tills and boxes, electrical accessories and precision engineering.
