Daniel Spiteri, 19, from Zejtun, was accused of seriously injuring Conrad Bugeja after a collision in Zejtun. The accident took place on 15 February at 1.40am.
Marija Yanika Micallef was also seriously injured in the accident. The car with which Spiteri collided was parked.
The court, presided over by Giovanni Grixti, said Spiteri had not kept a proper lookout and therefore fined him Lm250 and suspended his driving licence for 15 days.
