An Armed Forces of Malta statement said that late on Tuesday afternoon, AFM Operations Centre, Luqa, was informed that a boat with migrants had been sighted approximately 38 nautical miles southwest of Malta.
AFM vessels and aircraft mounted a search in the reported area. The boat was located yesterday and the migrants were brought to shore.
