President Godfrey Asciak said the club organises a maximum of two races a year with all the necessary permits from police. He said that the band club is against illegal horse-racing because it gives other legitimate horse-racing lovers a bad name. He also said that the profits every year go to various philanthropic organisations. He said that last year over Lm1,500 had been donated to various charities and money had also been spent to install a swing for disabled children in the village playground.
