The union had written to the management about the matter, complaining that there is no air-conditioning system installed in the department.

In a separate statement, the union has given instructions to the nurses and nursing aids working at health centres to disregard any orders or requests in connection with their attendance, coming from security officials.

The union said that it agreed with the exercise of discipline, as it had stated in an earlier letter to the management. However, the statement added, such control should come from higher ranking nursing personnel and not from security officials.
