In a statement, the police said that a 27-year-old Libyan, resident in Malta, was carrying out some works in Tigne when the accident happened.
The man was taken to St Luke’s Hospital suffering from serious injuries but his condition was not critical, the statement added.
Duty Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera appointed several experts to help in the investigations, being carried out by the Sliema police district.
