Motorcyclist Still in critical condition

Police sources said doctors are still battling to save the 37-year-old man from San Gwann but are finding it very difficult because of severe internal bleeding and severe head injuries.

The man lost control of the motorbike he was riding, skidded and crashed into a barrier. The man’s motorbike is said to have skidded on a slippery substance on the road as he was driving along Dun Karm Psaila Bypass. Police sources said the man came to rest 80 metres from the point of the initial impact.

Meanwhile, the conditions of the Zurrieq family who were involved in a traffic accident in Luqa remained unchanged. The 28-year-old man, his wife and a four-year-old girl escaped with slight injuries when the Hyundai they were in crashed into a tree after the driver lost control of the car. The accident occurred at around 2am in European Council Street in Luqa.
