sector, especially in Malta, claimed the National Fisheries Cooperative while extending its

congratulations to the Maltese EU commissioner.

The cooperative, which

represents 95 per cent of Maltese and Gozitan commercial fishermen, is looking forward to Dr Borg working to protect fishermen’s rights and making sure the fishing trade remains sustainable.

The cooperative thanked those who chose to appoint Dr Borg within this commission and said it was a very welcome surprise.
