Man Fined for attacking police sergeant

Rennie Spagnol, aged 22, from Valletta admitted attacking a police sergeant on the night between 15 and 16 August in St George’s Road in St Julian’s. He also admitted using obscene language in public and disobeying police orders.

Presiding magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera ordered Spagnol to pay a Lm100 fine for the crimes he had committed. Inspector Therese Sciberras prosecuted while Dr Roberto Montalto and Dr Joseí Herrera appeared for the accused.
