Mr Zahra, who is at the centre of the Mater Dei irregularities allegations, filed for libel against editor Saviour Balzan and journalist Matthew Vella.
Mr Zahra said that the article entitled New investigation into former Where’s Everybody? consultant was libellous as it tarnished his reputation. He therefore requested the court to order the defendants to pay not more than Lm5,000 in damages. Dr Peter Fenech signed the writ.
