The hotels in question are the Crowne Plaza, the Mercure Selmun Palace and the Hal-Ferh complex, all of which are subsidiaries of Airmalta. The statement said that the Hal-Ferh complex closes down next October, adding that the union will be watching the developments closely.
The union feels there should be an urgent meeting on the matter in order to avoid unnecessary tension for the employees, the statement concluded.
