The adjudicating committee will be comprised of Maurice de Giorgio (chairman), Martin Scicluna, Philip Zammit Briffa and Philip Farrugia Randon.

The award of Lm1,000 will be presented on or about 10 November each year.

There will be a different theme for each annual presentation, either culture, the environment or national pride. This year the award will be for the environment.

Nominations will be accepted from either the nominees themselves or from third parties. In the latter case the nominee’s acceptance has to be obtained.

Nominations will be for relevant involvement relating to the environment, such as research or technical studies, environmentally friendly projects or articles and press campaigns relating to the improvement of the environment.

All nominations must be submitted to the above address by 1 October and the envelopes should be marked “Frank Salt Investment Ltd. Award”.

The objective of this annual award is to recognise individual and collective efforts that are made for the betterment of the Maltese Islands and to reward the finest of such efforts.

In addition to the Lm1,000 first prize, signed certificates of appreciation and a memento will be given to the runners up.
