Commissioner Sonia Camilleri said she wished to express her satisfaction with the Caritas initiative to organise another party, tomorrow evening, in the series of “revive parties” for teenagers aged from 14 to 16.
“The need has long been felt for entertainment for young people in a non-smoking and non-alcoholic atmosphere, where supervision is also provided,” said Mrs Camilleri.
She said this had also been highlighted in the National Youth Policy launched earlier this year which specifies that in the field of leisure, the State follows a policy that:
“Ensures that all people, irrespective of their abilities… are provided with safe and healthy forms of entertainment.”
Caritas have addressed this in a way that appeals to young people, as can be gathered from the comments of teenagers who attended the first revive party organised on a national level, said Mrs Camilleri, wishing Caritas and all those attending, a truly enjoyable evening.
