VOICES spokesperson Roger Calleja said yesterday that now more than ever, all the people involved in VOICES live this year’s theme, i.e. “Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things”.
Just a few days before the concerts commence, all the various groups involved in the
production of VOICES, the choir, the band, the backstage crew, the front of house team, the sponsors, the committee, sound and lighting, marketing and so on, all join together like a jigsaw puzzle in one production with one message.
“This has always been the spirit behind VOICES and the aim is to create awareness about all those who – through teamwork – provide support to members of our society.”
Over the 10 nights between Wednesday 6 to Sunday 10 October and Wednesday 13 to Sunday 17 October more than 400 people will be giving their time and energy to be part of an exciting and wonderful experience for over
12,000 people who will be attending the concerts at the Republic Hall of the Mediterranean Conference Centre.
With kilometres of wiring on stage, thousands of wattage in sound power and over 60 microphones on stage, VOICES hopes that over Lm80,000 will be donated to various charities such as Eden Foundation, Razzett tal Hbiberija, Daniel Delicata Foundation, Hospice Movement, YMCA, Jesuit Refugee Service and many others.
