Dominic Fava, 33 and the 16-year-old, whose name cannot be published by court order, were charged with stealing the antiques, which included a gilded mirror and oil paintings, from Cospicua on 28 September, to the detriment of Victoria Licari.

The two were also accused of receiving stolen goods, while Fava alone was charged with relapsing in view of previous convictions.

Both were denied bail

and remanded in custody. Superintendent Patrick Spiteri and inspector Alfred Mallia prosecuted.
