Frank Baldwin, 34 from Birzebbuga, pleaded not guilty to defrauding the Bank of Valletta, Joseph Mary Cordina and Pauline Cordina in July and September this year.
He was also charged with receiving stolen goods and relapsing in view of previous convictions.
Presiding Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna granted the accused bail against a Lm5,000 personal guarantee.
