Libyan Accused of causing serious injury

El-Hanghari Mohammed, 35 from Zejtun, was charged with seriously injuring Mark Caruana in Gudja at 8.30am on 30 June 2003 after causing a traffic accident. Mr Caruana lost one of his fingers in the accident.

The Libyan man was also accused of driving without insurance and of damaging a motorcycle.

Inspector Joseph Aguis prosecuted while Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona presided over the court. Dr Joseph Brincat appeared for the accused.
