Philip Sultana, 26 of Fgura, had been entrusted with money belonging to Claudio Cassar, owner of St Thomas supermarket, and allegedly misappropriated Lm300. He was charged with stealing Lm300 worth of food and drink and receiving stolen goods.
The court was presided over by Magistrate Miriam Hayman. Inspector Helga Debono prosecuted while Dr Jason Azzopardi and Dr Kris Busietta appeared for Mr Sultana.
