During this event the foundation will also be promoting Dar il-Kaptan’s annual Open Day being held the following Sunday, 17 October, between 10am and 10pm. Entrance is free and there will be a choice of activities for adults and children alike. These include a plant sale, book sale, household linen sale, abseiling, gymnastics, tombola etc.

The open day then comes to an end with a concert by some of Malta’s leading singers and dancers. Refreshments will be available throughout the day. The Foundation for Respite Care Services is a non-profit and a non-governmental organisation, set up in 1990 in collaboration with the National Commission for Persons with Disability, while Rotary International through its Malta Club were instrumental in the setting up and the opening of the home.
