The collision happened at about 11 am. It is understood that an Opel Corsa being driven by a 27-year-old woman, and a Land Rover being driven in the opposite direction by a 24-year-old male, collided for reasons as yet not known.

The Land Rover driver and his passengers were shaken but unhurt. The Opel driver was taken to hospital and while injured, has not been placed on the critical list. She is, however, being kept at St Luke’s Hospital for treatment.

Zejtun district police are investigating.
