Critically Injured after car crash

The man was driving his Skoda Favorit along Marfa Road when his car collided with a Land Rover being driven in the opposite direction by a 42-year-old man from Mellieha.

An ambulance was called to scene to rush the elderly man to St Luke’s Hospital where he was treated for the serious injuries he had sustained. The man was said to be in a critical condition and was in danger of losing his life. The driver of the Land Rover was not injured.

Duty magistrate Abigail Lofaro was informed about the case. She appointed a number of court experts to assist her with the inquiry.

Qawra district police are investigating.
