The couple claimed that their son was being bullied repeatedly by six other students. The protest claimed that the boy was constantly threatened and ridiculed. He also allegedly suffered beatings at the hands of these students.

Earlier this year, the couple had filed another protest regarding the bullying of their son but nothing was done to remedy the situation.

The protest filed yesterday suggested the threats and the treatment of this boy are crimes. Since the bullying continued, the boy was forced to stop attending St Edward’s College.

The couple had requested the principal report these incidents to the police and suspend the students in question until the case is properly investigated. Despite this, Mr Saliba did nothing to stop this behaviour although he was the person responsible for the students’ well-being, the protest explained.

As mentioned earlier, the boy stopped attending the college because of this bullying and now cannot find a school at the same academic level. He is therefore suffering psychologically and is very anxious.

The protest demanded the court declare Mr Saliba responsible for all that has happened to this boy, especially considering he did not react after the first protest had been filed.
