Charlot Zahra, a journalist with The Malta Independent on Sunday, won the electronic journalism category. Mr Zahra was employed with di-ve.com before joining Standard Publications Ltd.

Sarah Puntan Galea won second place in the travel journalism category for her contributions in Manic, a magazine published by Standard Publications Ltd.

The ceremony was held at the Audio Vision Studios in Hamrun.

The other categories were won by Herman Grech (printed), Alvin Scicluna (broadcast film), Julian Farrugia (broadcast script), Lino Bugeja (sports), Corinne Vella (travel), Maurice Tanti Burlo (caricatures) and Roderick Agius (Maltese language).
