The annual Christmas staff party of the Island Hotels Group was held earlier this month at Gianpula. All full time and part-time staff of the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort, Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa, Coastline Hotel, Bugibba Holiday Complex and Island Caterers Ltd. were invited together with their partners.

Over 1,200 people attended and a great time was had by all. Entertainment at the start of the party was provided by DJ Roland while DJ Lang kept the staff dancing till the early hours of the morning.

The directors of Island Hotels Group gave a short speech, which was followed by a presentation of Lm1, 250 to Peppi Azzopardi in aid of the tsunami victims.

This money was collected from the sale of raffle tickets on the night as well as from monies collected to buy the company directors a Christmas present.

A minute’s silence was also observed by all present during the party out of respect to the people who lost their lives in the tsunami tragedy.
