A fast developing pace of technology, coupled with Government’s forward looking IT strategy, provides many challenges and opportunities, and SG Solutions is in a position to meet such challenges and capitalise on the opportunities.
This is the philosophy behind the merger between V.J. Salomone (Equipment) Ltd of V.J. Salomone Group of Companies and BDS Ltd, a member of Gasan Group. The merged company will operate under the name of SG Solutions Ltd.
The new premises for SG Solutions Ltd were inaugurated by Investment, Industry and Information Technology minister Austin Gatt, who stressed the need for more focalised local initiatives in the ICT sector and underlined the ever-increasing opportunities created through the relocation to Malta of software development companies and call centre services also from emerging markets like India in the Far East.
Both groups are confident that, through their combined synergies, the Salomone Gasan IT company will be a strong market player. SG Solutions aims to establish itself as a one-stop shop that will provide complete office solutions to the corporate sector and to consolidate its position as a market leader in point of sales (POS) systems. Leading brands such as Apple, Ricoh, Casio, Bull, Ingenico and Ericcson, which form part of the company’s current portfolio, will contribute to this objective.
SG Solutions Ltd will have a staff complement of systems developers and technical support personnel to guarantee customers a high level of support. Through SG Solutions, V.J. Salomone and BDS Ltd have brought together years of service and experience which can only be provided through an ongoing commitment to staff training and development, especially in the ever-changing ICT world.
SG Solutions will operate from its new premises at the Gasan Centre in Mriehel. Here, customers will be able to view the vast range of office solutions available and find the necessary expertise to help them reach the best IT decisions that will enable them to meet the current and future needs of their growing business endeavours.
