The Victoria’s awards, which are greatly appreciated by the staff, are presented twice annually, during the winter season and in summer.

The winners are chosen following a selection process where information is gathered from the guests themselves and through the assessments provided by the hotel managers.

This winter The Achiever of the Season Award went to Josef Sapiano, housekeeper supervisor. Mr Sapiano has been in the hotel’s employ for over five years. He started his career as a houseman and his industriousness eventually led to his promotion to supervisor.

This season The Victoria Hotel established another award, this time a departmental one, which was awarded to the front office team for the dedication and courtesy with which they daily carry out their duties.

The awards were presented by the acting general manager of The Victoria Hotel, Claire Xuereb and the chairman of the AX Group, Angelo Xuereb

During the presentation Ms Claire Xuereb had much praise for the winners and the staff in general who were consistent in their service especially during the weeks when the hotel was undergoing extensive renovation works.
