Malta Independent Saturday, 2 April 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

A woman was given a three-year conditional discharge after she admitted trying to sell counterfeit Miss Sixty jeans from a shop in San Gwann.

Maria Louisa Bonnici, 49, from St Julian’s pleaded guilty to circulating denim jeans carrying counterfeit Miss Sixty logos on 16 December 2004 and the previous months.

Bonnici was selling the items from Louise Boutique in San Gwann. She also admitted forgery and breaching copyright laws.

The businesswoman was conditionally discharged for three years after presiding Magistrate Saviour Demicoli took into consideration her early guilty plea and clean record.

Inspector Kevin Borg prosecuted and Dr Franco Debono appeared for the accused.
