A young man yesterday admitted cocaine and ecstasy possession, but denied he had intended to traffic the drugs.

Glen Bezzina, 23, from Valletta, was charged with cocaine and ecstasy possession in circumstances suggesting the drugs were not for his personal use. He was caught carrying the drugs in a Paceville bar in the early hours of 3 April.

Bezzina admitted drug possession but denied he had any intent to traffic. Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani Grima presided over the court.

Inspectors Dennis Theuma and Pierre Grech prosecuted while Dr Leslie Cuschieri appeared for the accused.
