During a reception held recently at the William Shakespeare Suite of The Victoria Hotel in Sliema, AX Holdings Ltd presented the long service awards to 47 of the group’s employees.

This event has been held annually for the past 10 years and to date a total number of 726 employees have received recognition through these awards for employment service ranging from five years to 25 years. Those eligible this year were employees of AX Holdings, The Victoria Hotel, Sunny Coast, Suncrest Hotel, Hardrocks and AX Construction

The longest serving employee for this year is Mr Carmelo Buttigieg, who started work with the group on 22 November 1979 and has been employed with AX Construction for the past 25 years.

During the presentation of the awards group chairman, Mr Angelo Xuereb said that the long service awards were a tribute towards the dedication of the group’s employees. He said it is also a confirmation of the reciprocal esteem that has always existed between employer and employee, and which results in an excellent working relationship to the benefit of all involved.

The awarded employees were presented with a certificate and a memento marking the event.
