BUPA Presents donation to the National Parents’ Society for Persons with Disability

Malta Independent Friday, 6 May 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

In recognition of the admirable work for people with disabilities and their families, BUPA Malta chairman James Blake presented a cheque to National Parents’ Society for Persons with Disability (NPSPD) treasurer Joseph Attard. This donation is intended to help members of the association towards the cost of an annual weekend break being organised for them.

The NPSPD was established in 1976 by a group of parents whose children suffer from some form of disability. It is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to support and educate disabled people from birth and throughout their life, as well as acting as a support group and a social circle to their families.

Mr Blake said: “BUPA Malta, a member of The Global Group, recognises the sterling work carried out by the NPSPD and we are therefore glad to assist them in their needs”.
