APS Bank is sponsoring the participation of a group of students from St Augustine’s College in the World ExpoScience also known as ESI 2005, which is going to be held in Santiago, Chile next July.
The bank’s sponsorship will make the trip possible for this team of youngsters who won the right to participate after coming first at the Med ExpoScience competition held in France last year, beating competition from other Mediterranean countries. In the competition they presented an innovative project on the reduction of pollution caused by car exhaust.
“This sponsorship, once again, shows APS Bank’s commitment in encouraging and helping the participation of young people in educational and research-oriented projects,” Alfred Triganza, senior manager, APS Bank said.
Mr Triganza presented the sponsorship to the team of students during the College’s Founder’s Day held recently at the College premises in Pieta’. He praised the students’ ability in designing this highly environmental-friendly product and took the opportunity to augur the participants every possible success in their forthcoming competition overseas.
