Marlen Fahne, 21, and Kathrin Lohs,18, both study International Management in Real Estate Services in Germany. While studying they are also experiencing the work and daily duties carried out by consultants within established estate agents in Germany.

“Malta was a great experience – easy to remember, hard to forget” said Marlen Fahne and Kathrin Lohs. They both came to Malta for work practice, skill and knowledge with Sara Grech Limited, Malta’s foremost and established real estate agency on the island.

“With Sara Grech’s cooperation as well as her administration staff we were able to learn new strategies from the rental, sales and marketing departments. Sara Grech has given us the knowhow and understanding of their competitive advantage. We were also able to come in contact with customers and view properties. We have taken this opportunity to also improve our English language skills as we were entrusted with daily duties that enabled us to converse in a business manner in the English language. All the staff was extremely helpful,” both went on to say.

“Viewing of typical Maltese old houses of character and modern apartments helped us get acquainted with the property industry and we also had the chance to experience the contract structure used by Sara Grech and its customers. It was very interesting to find a company that offers help to the customer “experience” by handing out the Home Buyers Guide which is given to all Sara Grech customers on signing the preliminary agreement of their new home.

“The Home Buyer’s Guide is a step-by-step manual, created to guide clients through the process of buying their new home. The guide includes comprehensive information on all the steps – legal and financial – that need to be taken, up to the final contract.

“The guide even includes moving tips, water and electricity applications as well as letters and other documentation required for submitting certain required information. This is a tip we will definitely take home with us,” they concluded.
