The Malta Tourism Authority will be hosting the fourth edition of the ‘Bailiff of Suffren’ boat race, a classic yacht cruising race which starts off in Saint Tropez in France and ends in Malta, which will take place between 25 June and 5 July.

The race, which is for traditional yachts in the vintage, classic and spirit of tradition categories, covers 530 nautical miles and will also be supported by Air Malta, the Royal Malta Yacht Club, Malta Embassy in France and French Embassy in Malta, as well as the Grand Harbour Marina (Malta).

The aim of this event is to link yachting with Maltese art and culture, thus helping to boost Malta’s image in the south of France, particularly Saint Tropez. Various events coinciding with the boat race have been held in Saint Tropez to promote Malta.

This year’s winner will be presented the ‘Sabre of Honour of the Bailiff of Suffren’, as well as a Vacheron Constantin chronometer.
