To celebrate Earth Day and continue with its programmes to raise awareness on environmental care, the Body Shop in Malta has re-launched its in-store recycling services aimed at facilitating customers to recycle their plastic Body Shop containers in the four stores in Malta and Gozo thus assisting the State to meet its EU recycling targets.

Customers can return their clean, empty Body Shop containers to their closest store and in return are given a free travel size product for every ten brought back. Centralised returns will then be taken by Body Shop staff to local recycling bins. On Earth Day all Body Shop stores asked customers to refrain from utilising plastic bags and cloth bags are available as an alternative.

The Body Shop is also promoting a national pilot project for the collection of domestic used cooking oil for conversion into biodiesel and will be assisting the Rural Affairs and the Environment Ministry with the distribution of informative materials on this recently launched initiative through the four stores in Malta and Gozo.
