Visiting the cinema and winning a great prize as a result is quite an unusual event. But two lucky ladies had this experience on Mother’s Day early in May, at the Eden Century Cinemas.

The first prize went to Diane Tabone, a young medical doctor who works at St Luke’s Hospital. Dianne was the lucky winner of a classy Chimento bracelet, worth around Lm350 and provided by Victor Azzopardi Jewellers of Floriana. “I never expected this when I visited the Eden Cinema in Fgura that weekend in May. This is really a great gift for my mum, but we have agreed to share it”, said Diane with a chuckle!

“I particularly appreciate this designer bracelet in yellow and white gold with its little diamond on the clasp because it is plain and unfussy and I can wear it daily, even to work”, she said.

The second prize, a pamper pack donated by Beauty Studio, at the InterContinental Malta, went to Michelina Camilleri. Her daughter Josianne, who is an architect, actually completed the competition form at Eden Century Cinemas in St Julian’s. She gladly passed on the prize to her mum. Michelina will be going away on holiday this summer and will take up the beauty treatment just before the start of it to feel especially good.
