The striking new black and red G4S logo will be introduced across all of Group 4 Securicor’s divisions over the next 18 months and will serve as a common symbol for the services offered by the group to its 120,000 customers in over 100 countries.
Group 4 Securicor was formed in July 2004 through the merger of Securicor and the security businesses of Group 4 Falck. It is now the world’s second largest security solutions specialist, with a turnover of £3.8 billion for 2004. The rebranding consolidates the success of last year’s merger and the ongoing integration process.
The introduction of the new logo marks a significant step in the brand development of Group 4 Securicor and is supported by the group’s new value statement A World of Security Solutions. The value statement summarises the capabilities of the group, its global coverage and the vast amount of expertise it has across the security sector, allowing it to understand its customers’ needs and develop solutions to solve their risk and security issues.
Following a competitive pitch process involving design agencies from the UK and Denmark, Stylus Design, a UK-based agency, developed the new identity, which will be rolled out to the majority of the group’s vehicles and on to the uniforms of over 300,000 members of staff.
Commenting on the rebranding programme, Group 4 Securicor chief executive elect Nick Buckles said: “The introduction of the new brand underlines our commitment to building our external profile and refining our brand positioning across the globe.
“Over the last year, we have taken the best aspects of both businesses and created a new set of corporate values which focus on the best people, providing the best security expertise to our customers in order to deliver the performance required by them and our other stakeholders.
“This is a tremendously exciting opportunity to maximise the potential of Group 4 Securicor’s well-respected brands as well as to demonstrate the success of the integration we have undertaken over the last year.”
