Digital Signage system at International Trade Fair grounds in Naxxar

Malta Independent Friday, 8 July 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

To mark this year’s Malta International Trade Fair, a new digital signage system has been installed at the Naxxar Trade Fair Grounds.

This digital signage system uses ceiling-mounted 42-inch plasma screens erected inside the main trade fair entrance, which will display trade fair information, special offers from exhibitors and other promotional information.

Since digital signage supports both audio and video, it is a very effective medium for the transmission of information. It is also an excellent mass media for advertisers who wish to reach the thousands of visitors visiting the different fairs organised at the trade fair grounds.

Various exhibitors have already started using the system to promote their trade fair offers and it is also being used by companies which are not participating at the fair but who wish to be “present”, just the same.

This is the first stage of a complex state-of-the-art digital signage system that is being installed at the fair grounds. In the coming months, other information points will be set up in various strategic locations all over the site.

The digital signage system was installed by Cyberspace Solutions Ltd, a multimedia and IT solutions company as well as a value-added reseller for Scala Inc., a world leader in digital signage.

Current organisations using Scala software include; Tesco, Best Buy, Burger King, T-Mobile, Shoprite, ASDA, Virgin Megastores, Bloomberg, Kiwi, Aziza-Panda Supermarkets, McFoods, Warner Brothers Movie World, Robobank, Santiago Airport, Dubai Airport, Carnival Cruises, Honda and Harrah’s Casinos.
