Malta Independent Tuesday, 12 July 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The Victoria Hotel has recently appointed Alex Falzon as Front Office manager in charge of Reservations and Advance Bookings.

His appointment is intended to enhance efficiency levels in the reservation department and ensure a good follow-up system with every reservation. This is a target that has been planned for and on which the hotel is ready to embark, now that the structure is in place.

In June 2002, Mr Falzon successfully finished a four-year course at The Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) leading to a diploma in Accommodation and Operation Management. He furthered his studies by obtaining three diplomas – in Modern Management and Administration, Human Resources Management and Business Communications Management – from Cambridge University.

At present he is studying for a Masters degree in Business Administration from Henley Managment College in the UK.

Mr Falzon has worked in various departments with several hotels, foremost of which was his 12-months internship in the UK, at the La Meridien Hotel located just outside Heathrow Airport.
