Commercial Courier Relaunched

Malta Independent Saturday, 16 July 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

The Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise announced the relaunch of its Commercial Courier publication.

The Commercial Courier is being re-launched in its new guise and with a stronger focus on quality, editorial content and distribution.

The Commercial Courier, which will now be issued every two months in full colour, is produced by Content House Limited. Circulation is also being significantly strengthened via the Chamber membership and through an agreement with Standard Publications Limited for the free distribution of the Commercial Courier with The Malta Business Weekly newspaper.

As part of the publication’s restructuring exercise, the Chamber secured the services of a number of high profile contributors whose articles shall feature regularly in the Commercial Courier. The regular contributors include Dr Leonard Mizzi; Dr Gabriella Pace; Tonio Farrugia; Stefano Mallia and Joseph F. X. Zahra. The Chamber’s deputy director general, Kevin J. Borg, is acting as editor of the publication.

The first edition that was circulated with this week’s Malta Business Weekly is dedicated to Malta’s eventual adoption of the Euro. Besides the contribution of the above-mentioned authors, the July/August issue includes a cover story on Malta’s participation in ERM II and an interview with EU Commissioner, Dr Joe Borg.

The Chamber thanks its regular authors, members, advertisers and official supporters – Bank of Valletta and Simonds Farsons Cisk – whose contribution rendered this venture possible.

The re-vamped Commercial Courier should continue to serve as a worthy mouth-piece of the local senior private-sector institution – as it has done since 1947 – making it one of the oldest publications on the Maltese Islands.
