Middlesea Valletta Life (MSV) is sponsoring a representative from the Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association at the 26th International Epilepsy Congress which will be held in Paris between 28 August and 1 September.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Middlesea Valletta Life general manager, David G. Curmi, said, “Middlesea’s support is in line with the company’s policy to contribute towards the betterment of the local community”.

The Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association was set up by voluntary workers in 1996. In May 2001, the association was accepted as a Chapter of the International Bureau for Epilepsy.

It is estimated that there are more than 3,000 people suffering from epilepsy on the Maltese Islands. The association caters for persons who suffer from epilepsy as well as their families.

Raising public and professional awareness and dispelling myths about epilepsy is one of their main challenges.
