This week sees the launch of the much-anticipated wave pool at Splash and Fun Water Park’

The ‘High Tide Wave Pool’, measuring 65 metres in length and 25 metres in width, is one of the biggest wave pools in Europe and the only one in Malta. With a deck area accommodating over 1,500 visitors at one time and over 2,000 cubic metres of water, this attraction promises additional fun and adventure for the entire family.

Patrick Vella, director of Leisure and Theme Park Ltd, operator of Splash and Fun Water Park, stated that the main objective behind this project is to give the Maltese a water park to be proud of, providing them with a unique experience, which up until now was only available overseas.

Mr Vella claimed that at Splash and Fun Water Park there is something to suit everyone’s taste, making it an ideal family outing. With exciting rides such as The Space Bowl Slide and The Family Slides, relaxing attractions such as the Lazy River as well as the increased deck area, Children’s Splash Land and the new High Tide Wave Pool, Malta’s premiere family water park is the place to be this summer.

Splash and Fun Water Park however is not only about the attractions. The friendly animation team provides an entertaining and enjoyable atmosphere with various games and activities provided throughout the day, all day, every day.

At night, the water park transforms itself into a fantastic summer venue, catering for private functions, children’s parties, theme nights, dinner parties and more. The entertaining barbeque nights held every Friday offer visitors the opportunity to ride the attractions from 5pm onwards and enjoy the mouth-watering barbeque buffet and musical entertainment provided throughout the night (bookings must be made in advance).

This year also sees the introduction of seasonal membership cards for regular visitors, offering guests unlimited access to the water park any day (including Sundays and public holidays) at just a one-time fee of Lm35 for children and Lm65 for adults. Splash and Fun Water Park is open from 9am till late; tickets are sold at Splash and Fun Water Park entrance, hotels and selected outlets in Malta and Gozo. All tickets include unlimited use of all facilities at the water park.
