“The already strong business relationship between Malta and the United States will be consolidated as Americans discover Malta’s beckoning investment potential. Malta’s strategic location between North Africa and southern Europe makes it an ideal business hub in the Mediterranean,” stated Alan Cassar, Executive Head of Sales at Bank of Valletta during the signing of an agreement between BOV and AmCham-Malta, the Maltese-American Chamber of Commerce.
Mark Miceli-Farrugia, president of AmCham-Malta, thanked Bank of Valletta for its support and endorsed Mr Cassar’s optimism. “Malta’s appeals include a comfortable western lifestyle sustained by a stable political, financial and legal framework; a highly skilled, English-speaking workforce; state-of-the-art telecommunications services; frequent, scheduled air-links with major cities in the Euro-Med region; and one of the most efficient transshipment centres in the Mediterranean region. AmCham has been actively promoting Malta as a Mediterranean hub from which Americans can capitalise on business opportunities in the Euro-Med region,” concluded Mr Miceli-Farrugia.
Thanks to this agreement, Bank of Valletta will be actively promoting its banking and financial services in the Euro-Med area during AmCham-Malta’s educational and business conferences and seminars. BOV will assist AmCham in organising trade delegation exchanges between Malta, the USA and neighbouring countries. Furthermore, the bank is making available a number of special benefits on the bank’s products and services to AmCham-Malta members.
