One of the leading national newspapers in Germany, Die Zeit, recently produced a full-page feature about Malta on the title page of its weekly travel section.

The feature with the title Kif inti? Tajjeb was written by the journalist Burkhard Strassmann who was invited to Malta by the Malta Tourism Authority’s office in Frankfurt earlier this year.

Through the efforts of the MTA, Mr Strassman was enrolled in a brief one-to-one Maltese language course at the German-Maltese circle. Mr Strassman’s article highlights the hospitality of the Maltese and the attractiveness of the Maltese language.

Meanwhile, articles on Malta were also featured in special interest up-market magazines in Germany, including Tours Magazine, the weekly magazine Glücksrevue, which has a circulation of nearly 300,000, and women’s magazine Welt der Frau.

The journalists who wrote these articles were hosted in Malta by the MTA and supported by Air Malta.
